Have No Fear, the Data Super Heroes are Here

Everyone needs a superhero, even your data.

Where do you find them? Very often, right in front of you, hidden behind the‘Clark Kent glasses’.

In the digital transformation journey, a data-driven culture is a must and culture is often harder to change than systems. If your employees are not ready to embrace the digital age, this can derail your organizations’ efforts to stay relevant and competitive, depreciating the value of insights of the best data analytics solution in the market.

To unlock the value of your data, you need to start by unlocking the potential of your greatest asset— your employees.

    Attitude

The best superheroes have the best attitudes.

The workforce of today is changing as the digital landscape is evolving every day. Instilling a data-driven culture is imperative to gain a competitive edge and it starts first with the attitude of the employees—across all levels of an organization.

The superheroes in our midst are those employees who have an openmind and are ready to adapt and accept new technology, methods, and strategies to conquer the digital age.
And it has to start from the top. When the culture change begins in the boardroom, it will have a trickle-down effect on the rest of the organization;encourage cross-pollination of ideas between teams during strategic planning sessions to generate alternate views during digital transformation. This will expand their horizons and understanding, making it easier for them to accept different viewpoints and new technologies.

    Grit

Superman never let anything get in his way; not even kryptonite. You shouldn't either.

Embracing technology as a unified organization is not the easiest thing to do. It requires hard work to learn and accept the new technology and resilience to keep testing new digital strategies to find the perfect fit for your business. Encourage your employees to be resilient through rocky patches during implementation—because there will be tough days—and reward them for their efforts so they understand that success is a team effort and it requires their individual support.

As they say—no pain no gain.

    Speed>

The fastest superheroes may not be the most powerful in the world, but speed can make a big difference.

Employees today have to be able to think, react, and learn fast. Get your employees involved in the process of adopting a new solution from the start. It provides them with the opportunity to experience it hands-on and contribute their insights on the fly, which will both speed up and smoothen out the adoption journey for the organization as a whole. They can then become the accelerators you need to advance your digital strategy.

Technology only creates value when you pair it with human intelligence in its application. Tony Stark from Iron Man tapped on technology to build his famous suit– enabling him to be one of the greatest superheroes of all time. Instil your employees with the right attitude needed to adopt and understand the array of technology solutions available in the market today. This will enable your organization to leverage data to unlock the valuable insights needed to be an information-driven business.

Start by creating your own data superheroes in your organization through a data-driven culture.
